The US fintech offering an AI powered idea generation Saas for structured products raised raised new funding in the summer from venture capital investors
Eric Glicksman, former managing director and head of structured solutions for Americas, global wealth management, at UBS, has joined US software-as-a-Service (SaaS) IVM Markets as president.
Based in New York, Glicksman will lead the company's efforts to expand its footprint in the US structured products market. The US fintech offering an AI powered idea generation Saas for structured products recently raised US$3.4 million from venture capital investors to enter the next stage of development.
"I’ve always been drawn to entrepreneurial ventures, and IVM Markets offers an ideal way to stay engaged in structured products from a new angle. Its AI-driven idea and product development software allows me to lead market transformation in ways that aren’t possible in traditional corporate environments" Glicksman told SRP.
Glicksman took a few months of sabbatical after leaving the Swiss bank earlier this year. At UBS, the structured products veteran was most recently part of cross-divisional collaboration teams for Americas within the global markets unit under its investment bank.
He joined UBS global wealth management (GWM) from Citigroup in 2006 to help the Swiss bank set up the structured solutions business for the Americas introducing transformational change to the industry as he established the first open architecture model in the US for structured products market.
At UBS, he held a number of senior roles and was responsible for product development, origination, distribution, secondary trading and over-the-counter (OTC) equity, foreign exchange, rates and credit derivatives for the clients of global wealth management (GWM) and select third party financial intermediary clients.
Glicksman's mandate also covered listed options, futures, exchange-traded-products (ETPs), closed-end funds and unit investment trusts. In addition, Glicksman served on the committees of executive management, operational and product risk, distribution and commitment at UBS.
Glicksman was also a board member of Luma Financial Technologies which providers a multi-issuer platform for structured products and annuities.
Prior to UBS, Glicksman held several senior positions in the industry, including managing director, head of product development in the US equity derivatives group at Citigroup’s corporate and investment banking division and managing director, head of the structured products and the over-the-counter derivatives groups at Wachovia Securities.
He was also senior vice-president, head of equity and fund-linked structured products and the single stock risk management groups at Lehman Brothers; and started his career in derivatives structuring and sales at Merrill Lynch where he was a director in the global equity-linked products group.
Glicksman received the Lifetime Achievement award at the SRP Americas Awards 2015.
