The SRP Wrapper Guide Europe 2024 is aimed at shedding light on the different wrappers used to deliver structured products to retail investors across European markets, including both over-the-counter (OTC) and through listed venues.
By market, the guide provides ‘country profiles’ for Switzerland, Germany, France, Italy, United Kingdom, Belgium, Poland and Sweden.
The guide looks at the five main wrapper groups in Europe including securities, life insurance, deposit, fund and pension wrappers.
‘While the choice of asset, sector and credit rating remain the main concerns when using structured investments, an appropriate and efficient choice of tax wrapper is an important part of the product selection,’ states the report.

Spectrum Markets the pan-European trading venue is also featured as a growing hub for leverage products in the Old continent.
Beyond traditional assets, the report shines a light on crypto assets-linked exchange traded products (ETPs).
In an interview, Société Générale the biggest provider of listed products in Europe discusses the ins and outs of this ‘growing niche market’.
The guide also showcases actively managed certificates (AMC) which have gained significant traction in Europe, although they remain a wrapper favoured by Swiss financial institutions.
The SRP Wrapper Guide Europe 2024 also looks at the wrappers being used to deliver structured products for retirement investors, looking at how the market has evolved from the traditional Constant Proportion Portfolio Insurance (CPPI) into new individualised long-term retirement solutions.
In addition, the guide showcases funds of structured products a wrapper with limited weight in the market but used by investors across some European markets like the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.
