The Hong Kong SAR financial regulator has released a circular aimed at distributors of financial product offering guaranteed returns and other services when marketing SFC-authorised funds.
The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) is targeting distributors of financial products that offer additional returns and other services – such as guaranteed returns and lock-up periods – that are beyond the product features sent out in the offering documents, according to a circular published on 24 October.
