In the derivative-linked securities (DLS) market, two new players emerged in the issuer’s league table and a risk premia index developed by Citi made its debut in H1 2022.

In the first half of the year, there were 258 DLS sold at KRW1.9 trillion (US$1.4 billion), down 9.5% year-on-year (YoY). Meanwhile, KRW7.4 trillion was collected from a total of 690 derivative-linked bonds (DLBs), which was up 109.6% YoY, according to the latest report from the Korea Securities Depository (KSD).
