2022 was another bumper year for structured products in the US market with sales volumes reaching levels only bettered once in the past 17 years.
Some US$6.8 billion was collected from 2,318 structured notes in December 2022 – down 19% by sales volume compared to the prior year month (Dec 21: US$8.4 billion from 2,782 products). Seventy of the newly issued products were withdrawn as they did not gather enough sales. Of these, 49 were issued on the paper of J.P.
