The Canadian bank issued a total of 84 structured products during the second quarter of 2021, a 28% drop from its figure of 117 products in the same period a year prior, SRP data shows.
Desjardins’ issuance has fluctuated throughout the past year, falling to 57 products in the third quarter and subsequently shot back up to 109 in the final quarter of 2020. This number plummeted once again in the first quarter of 2021 to 71 products. In terms of product issuance, Desjardins issued the least number of structured products in the Canadian market during the second quarter .
