US life insurance firm Prudential announced that it has added Invesco and Blackrock exchange-traded funds (ETFs) as options within the crediting strategies of the firm’s Flexguard indexed variable annuity (IVA).
The leading ETF providers Invesco and Blackrock will have their Invesco QQQ ETF (which tracks the Nasdaq-100 index) and Blackrock iShares Russell 2000 ETF added to the alternatives available for FlexGuard clients. The IVA was launched almost a year prior during an extremely low interest rate environment and subsequently became the firm’s best-selling flagship product, crossing almost US$2 billion in sales in less than eight months, according to the Secure Retirement Institute (SRI).
