Some 459 structured products worth C$1.52 billion (US$1.1 billion) had strike dates in December – the highest number for the year.

Some 153 products matured this month releasing C$1.45 billion back onto the market. Total issuance of principal-at-risk notes (PRNs) for December was 346, a 13.4% increase compared to December 2019 and 28% above average for 2020.
