The Swiss bank has promoted its head of intermediaries to the role of chief executive of as part of its long-term succession planning
The board of directors of Julius Baer has appointed Philipp Rickenbacher ( pictured ) as its new chief executive effective September 1 st , 2019. Rickenbacher will replace the current CEO Bernhard Hodler who will step down as of August 31. Rickenbacher is currently head of intermediaries & global custody of Bank Julius Baer. Prior to that, he was head advisory solutions for two years, responsible for the development of the bank’s advisory approach and of wealth management solutions.
