To say environmental and social governance (ESG) oriented investing in the Asia Pacific region is still a growing area is somewhat of an understatement.

An SRP report published earlier this year has found that ESG products in Asia Pacific (Apac) remain negligible in terms of issuances and sales, with the US and Europe dominating over 90% of the market over the past five years. Around one-third of assets under management globally are ESG-related, with Asia accounting for 2% of this total primarily spearheaded by Japan.
