Issuance of structured notes (certificado de operações estruturadas –COEs) in 2018 reached almost R$11 billion (US$2.9 billion)
The Brazilian structured notes (COE) market completed five years in January with an outstanding volume of R$17 billion (US$4.48 billion) registered at the end of 2018, according to data from Brazilian stock exchange operator B3. The exchange has reported that throughout 2018, emissions reached R$10.9 billion, with 15 banks and 21 brokerage firms active in the period.
