The five-year products are issued as either offshore listed funds or onshore via the company’s own life contracts. They all offer capital protection plus exposure to the underlying and a Himalayan-type lock-in mechanism that records the best performing underlying component in each year before removing it from the basket.
An Australian dollar-denominated Global Emerging Markets option offers exposure to ABN Amro’s Latin America and Eastern Europe funds, Morgan Stanley’s Asian Equity, Pictet’s Indian Equities and Schroder’s Middle East fund.
Also in Australian dollar, the Global Masters series offers exposure to Berkshire Hathaway Class B Shares, Pimco’s Total Return Bond, Investec’s Global Free Enterprise, Diapason Rogers Commodity Index Henderson’s Horizon Global Property Equities funds.
Finally, Commodity Essentials is a euro-denominated product that offers exposure to a basket comprising ten commodities.
The products are available until 16 May for a minimum investment of AUD$10,000 (US$9,426).
