JPMorgan has made a number of senior appointments at the top of its markets and investor services unit to align it with its execution services section, which was put under the leadership of its global head of equities electronic client solutions, Frank Troise, in July.
Neal Golstein, former global head of electronic connectivity solutions at JPMorgan' electronic client solutions (ECS) group has been appointed head of cross-asset class connectivity solutions. Golstein, a former Lehman Brothers' senior vice president, joined JPMorgan in 2011 from Nomura where he was head of US electronic product development for more than two years.
Michael O'Brien has been appointed co-head of the global investment solutions business at JPMorgan Asset Management, alongside Jed Laskowitz who will retain his role as chief executive - APAC. O'Brien was previously global head of the institutional client group. O'Brien joined JPMorgan in 2010 from Barclays Global Investors (BGI)/BlackRock where he was head of distribution, Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA).
The US bank has also appointed new banking heads in France, Iberia and Italy in a move to strengthen its European investment banking revenues.
As part of this changes, Guido Nola has been appointed head of investment banking (IB) - Italy. Nola was most recently in charge of the coverage of Italian institutional investors & strategic equity derivatives for corporates & financial institutions at the bank. Additionally, Ignacio de la Colina and Grégoire Haemmerlé have been appointed head of IB - Iberia and head of IB - France.
The bank has also named several executives within its investment bank including Scott Wacker as global head of e-commerce sales & marketing; Barry O'Kane as head of market risk; Jason Holt as head of financial crime compliance - Europe; and Vincent Thiebaud as head of corporate finance - Switzerland.
Execution services
JPMorgan has also made a number of senior appointments in its Execution Services division including that of Chris Burner, previously head of credit e-commerce, as global head of execution services, credit, securitised products & public finance.
Regionally, the bank's execution services will be driven by Brian Pomraning, head of equities execution services - EMEA; Daniel Ciment, head of equities execution services - Americas; and Shilesh Shekhawat, head of equities execution services - Asia.
Other appointments in the bank's execution services include that of James Taylor as head of international rates execution services; Peter Ward, formerly global head of future & electronic options trading, as global head of futures & options execution services and head of rates execution services - Americas; Richard James as head of currencies & emering markets execution services; and James Proudlock, formerly global commodity product head, futures & option and OTC clearing, as head of commodities execution services.
