Qatari bank QInvest says it has seen strong demand for its Qatar Equity Protected Note, a capital-protected note linked to locally listed shariah-compliant securities.

"Clients' positive reactions indicate that they were attracted by the risk:return ratio the note offered. With interest rates at historical lows, the note is a much more rewarding alternative to cash deposits," said Nader Shenouda, head of placement and wealth management.

The note is one of a series of investment products QInvest is bringing into the market in the coming months, and demonstrates our strong shariah-compliant structuring capabilities and commitment to meeting client needs, said the bank.
