Robeco merged its RenteMaxx fund into Internationaal Garantiefonds at the beginning of April, renaming the merged fund as Robeco InlegGarant.
According to the fund manager, these two products were very similar but the returns are better for Internationaal Garantiefonds. "Internationaal Garantiefonds offers more opportunities to spread investments across multiple asset classes," Robeco said in a statement. "It has also shown more stable returns over longer periods than RenteMaxx, and we have therefore decided to include RenteMaxx in this fund."
Robeco InlegGarant, the three-month, capital-protected product, which investors can enter monthly and is also available to institutional investors, will offer a participation in the growth - usually capped - of a basket comprising one or more of the following underlyings: Eurostoxx50, AEX, S&P GS Excess Return Commodity index and government bonds.
Over the last three years, Internationaal Garantiefonds' performance was an average 3.1% per annum, slightly ahead of RenteMaxx at 2.03%.
