Structured funds are some of the top performers in Hong Kong's investment market, according to analysis by a local paper.
Of the 41 categories of funds sold in Hong Kong, hedge/structured products are the third best-performing, with Man's capital-protected AHL Guaranteed Futures coming in top with a 21.9% return over the last two years, according to The Standard.
Man's AHL Diversified Futures, Schroder's Market Performer and Hang Seng's China H-Financials Lookback also showed relatively strong returns over the last 24 months.
The paper highlighted the irony of structured fund success as headlines have been dominated by negative structured products press following the collapse of Lehman Brothers.
These products appear on the Hong Kong database.
