The panellists agreed that the global spread of Covid-19 has resulted in extraordinarily high levels of uncertainty in the markets, which at the same time has created unique opportunities for structured products. ‘Extreme house views’ and ‘illiquidity’ are the challenges Ishan Sarkar (pictured) , head of structured products South East Asia at HSBC Private Banking, first recalled during his assessment of 2020. “If you look at the second week of January, people are
