Wells Fargo has added two new, but veteran, structured products executives to its investor solutions group in New York.
Serge Troyanovsky, formerly a managing director and head of retail distribution for North America within the structured equity group at BNP Paribas in New York, has reportedly joined Wells Fargo as director of Northeast retail sales. Public records show that his appointment became effective as of July 29. Troyanovsky left BNPP in February after serving at the bank since August 1997.
Also joining Wells Fargo’s investment solutions group as a director is Francis (“Fran”) Begley whose appointment became effective on July 25. Begley joins to head structured products sales to Wells Fargo clients in the Southeast portion of the US. Public records show that Begley had served since September 2011 as regional director at Financial Products LLC, the Credit Suisse structured products distribution company. Before that he was as an executive director with Morgan Stanley and earlier as director at Citigroup, both within the banks’ structured investments units.
Both Troyanovsky and Begley report to Matt Ginsburg, managing director, sales manager, in San Francisco, who continues in his role heading up the bank’s structured products retail marketing and distribution efforts.
Also now a part of the Wells Fargo team in New York is Kunal Malhotra who recently moved to New York from the West Coast and now serves as the head of private bank and institutional sales FICC – Americas. He previously served as the senior sales manager, structured investments and derivatives, at Wells Fargo.
Wells Fargo has made some strategic executive changes since appointing Jonathan Weiss as the new head of Wells Fargo Securities effective from May 15.
As reported on last month by SRP, Cary Immesoete in New York had been cut by the bank and left in June for undisclosed reasons. He had been responsible for product development for Wells Fargo’s third-party distribution. His position was subsequently eliminated.
Rick Silva, previously the global head of investment solutions in New York, was recently promoted to serve as the co-head of equities and investment solutions, sharing that role with co-head Mike Reilly who joined the bank in June 2013. Silva had been with Wachovia Bank – the bank Wells Fargo subsequently acquired, since July 2005.
