Zurich's EFG Financial Products has opened its Hong Kong office with plans to expand its structured products platform to the Asia market.
The firm's Asia push is being led by Sven Haefner, who previously led ABN Amro's product business before pursuing an online platform venture.
EFG FP, which was founded in 2007, is a significant player in the Swiss structured products market and is a specialist in collateral-secured instruments (Cosi), developed by the Six Swiss Exchange.
