Standard Life has selected Schroder Asian Income Maximiser and Schroder Global Alpha Plus Fund for inclusion on its FundZone and wrap platforms.

"These funds have attracted a lot of attention from advisers already and we're pleased that they are now available via the Standard Life platforms," said Graham Dow, Standard Life's head of investment group relationships.

Schroder Asian Income Maximiser, based on a similar strategy to the UK Income Maximiser, targets an initial gross yield of 7% through an actively managed portfolio of 60-80 higher-yielding Asian stocks with a covered call option overlay on those stocks to enhance the yield.

The fund is co-managed by Thomas See, head of structured fund management, and Richard Sennitt, fund manager of Schroder Asian Income Fund, who is responsible for stock picking.

Meanwhile, the firm's UK Income Maximiser call-overwriting fund has more than doubled its assets under management since the fund's £250m low at the beginning of 2009. The fund now has £602.9m under management, down from £625.3m in July.

Since its launch in November 2005, the UK fund has provided a positive performance of 21.4% versus 3.9% for the IMA UK Equity Income fund and -6.9% for the FTSE350 index. UK Maximiser is currently based on a portfolio of 40 high-yielding stocks.

Income Maximiser has a 5.25% initial fee plus a 1.5% annual management fee. Minimum investment is £1,000.
