The sales activities of structured notes in Thailand have experienced a seasonal slowdown while two local nascent issuers stand out.
The market saw THB 26.8 billion (US$756.6m) notional traded from 6,119 structured notes including 348 dual currency notes for the period from April to June, down 12.6% from the previous quarter, but up 5.8% year-on-year (YoY), according to SRP data. This led to combined volume of US$1.62 billion for the first half of the year, a 1.5% decline YoY.
