People: BNP Paribas taps CS to fill Belgian cross asset structured solutions vacancy
BNP Paribas corporate and investment banking (CIB) has appointed Jonathan Chekroun as director, cross asset structured solutions, Belgium & Netherlands, in Brussels. Chekroun is understood to be taking over some of the responsibilities of Giles Staquet, the former head of equity derivatives sales, Belgium & Netherlands, who defected to Deutsche Bank in London in late 2017 as head of retail structured sales (Europe). He is also understood to be a direct report to Jean-Eric Pacini (pictured), head of equity derivatives sales for Europe, Middle East & Africa (Emea). A BNP Paribas spokesperson confirmed the appointment but declined to comment further.
