Credit default trades remain appealing for a broad audience
Credit default trades can be split into two main categories, those linked to one or more individual names and those linked to credit indices. This is similar to equity linked structured products where a product can be linked to specific stocks or a wider regional or thematic index. As with equities, products linked to credit indices require a less targeted view and may appeal to a broader audience by diversifying the risk across more companies.
