Insurance products under pressure as ‘Pepp’ alarm is sounded

The German Association of the Insured (Bund der Versicherten - BdV), an organization of consumer protection in the private insurance sector, has sounded the alarm on 'basic problems' related to life insurance products in Europe. 'The opacity of life insurances is a threat to European consumers and the European economy,' said Axel Kleinlein ( pictured ), vice president and spokesman of the board of the BdV, in a statement.
