People: HSBC global banking co-head departs

Matthew Westerman (pictured), co-head of global banking and a group general manager at HSBC Global Banking and Markets, will be leaving the UK bank, according to a memo seen by SRP. Westerman joined HSBC in June 2016 as the UK bank revamped its investment banking division following the merger of capital financing and banking, which resulted in a single global banking division and the appointment of Robin Phillips and Matthew Westerman as co-heads of global banking.
