Risk management technology provider Numerix has moved to integrate its analytics platform into Oneview Asset Management, the firm's real-time portfolio and risk management solution for asset managers.

Being driven by the search for yield and a desire for increased diversification, in today's environment buy-side market participants are demanding more complex products, according to Steve O'Hanlon (pictured), CEO of Numerix

"With this upgrade, the unmatched strength and sophistication of Numerix analytics are now fully accessible within our asset management solution," said O'Hanlon. "This makes Oneview Asset Management the market's leading real-time portfolio management solution as it now combines streaming real-time performance with the ability to manage the most complex products alongside vanilla products."

According to O'Hanlon, following the integration, Numerix's real-time risk analytics platform for multi-asset portfolios will be able to deliver more complex modelling and pricing capabilities to its users than 'all industry standard offerings'.

"Asset managers no longer have to combine separate analytics, portfolio management and operations systems together," said O'Hanlon. "Oneview Asset Management is the all-in-one real-time portfolio management, risk management, and back office processing solution."

Numerix's Oneview Asset Management was developed 'from the ground up' for asset managers to support multi-asset class portfolios, and the incorporation of complex structured products within the solution adds further capabilities to the firm's real-time trading and risk platform which is aimed at providing a single source of data and analytics for front and middle office risk.

Oneview Asset Management is available via Numerix's real-time SaaS platform, enabling users to leverage Numerix's asset management software, pricing models and institutional infrastructure.

"With this update, asset managers can manage more complex products within the same platform as they can for vanilla products such as swaps, equities and bonds," said O'Hanlon. "Not only does this vastly increase their risk management capabilities, but it also greatly reduces operational risk."

Earlier this year, Numerix acquired TFG Financial Systems and its turnkey portfolio and risk management solution, TFG Complete, in a move to integrate the firm's real-time capabilities in its risk management platform with its front-, middle- and back-office risk management functionalities in a single database and platform.

According to O'Hanlon, Oneview Asset Management is in use with several major banks and asset managers globally. "[The platform] supports real-time portfolio analysis, P&L, stress and shadow NAV, as well as fully automated middle office capabilities," said O'Hanlon. "Coverage for multiple asset classes is [also] provided, including fixed income, equities, inflation, commodities, credit and FX."
