Not only does the canny US financial regulatory authority show pictures of smiling investors on its website, it creates the kind of infrastructure around financial services that resembles a family touch. There is a multitude of tools embedded in its website that look like they really were created for the good of humankind, or at least those that want or need to invest in financial products: for your delectation, there is a prominent broker check service, so you can instantly identify the credentials of your local salesman, as well as a fund analyser, market data center, expense analyser, a special calculator, and even an alert service.
