People: SG senior strategic advisor to lead French Eusipa chapter
Jean-Philippe Cavrois (pictured), senior strategic advisor at Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) global markets has been appointed president of the French Association of Securitised Listed Derivatives (AFPDB) a trade body with the goal of promoting the image of listed derivative products and their regulation, founded in 2008 by BNP Paribas and Société Générale. Cavrois replaces Alexandre Houpert, who resigned from this position following his appointment as managing director cross-asset retail structured products distribution, Europe, at JP Morgan. As president of the AFPDB, Cavrois also becomes a board member of the European Structured Investment Products Association (Eusipa), the European organisation created to promote the interests of the listed structured retail investment products market. Cavrois joined Société Générale in 2014 from Tradition Securities and Futures (TSAF) where he was company secretary (Secrétaire Général) for almost seven years. Prior to that, Cavrois was a senior officer at the French regulator - Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) between 1998 and 2007.
